LIVERPOOL boss Roy Hodgson will ask his Europa League rookies to try and equal a European club record tomorrow night.[LNB]If the Reds can overcome FC Utrecht in tomorrow night's final Europa League group game, it would equal the club record of nine successive home victories in Europe.[LNB]Those winning sequences were established by some of the most celebrated sides in Anfield history.[LNB]Between 1976 and 1978 Bob Paisley's UEFA and European Cup winners won nine in a row at Anfield, then between 1983 and 1991 another European Cup winning outfit repeated that feat.[LNB] But with tomorrow's match being a dead rubber - Liverpool can't be caught as Group K leaders and FC Utrecht cannot qualify - Hodgson will rest the majority of his senior stars.[LNB]The task of equalling a club record will be entrusted to inexperienced youngsters like Jonjo Shelvey, Danny Wilson and Dani Pacheco.[LNB]Hodgson himself is also chasing a personal landmark tomorrow.[LNB]Joe Fagan, with 12, holds the record for the most games unbeaten in Europe at the start of his career as Liverpool manager.[LNB]Roy Hodgson has so far managed nine without defeat and will move to within two of Fagan's achievement if he can avoid defeat tomorrow.
