Carroll pleased with goal
Andy Carroll was delighted to score his first international goal on Tuesday night. The Liverpool striker scored England's goal in their 1-1 draw with Ghana and after the game admitted he was pleased to be back on the scoresheet after his injury. "It was great to get playing again and great for me to get a goal," said Carroll. "I think the lads played well. It was just disappointing to concede in the last minute. "I'm coming back fit now and I think getting that goal shows I'm here and ready to score goals for England if I am picked."
