Jamie Carragher is set to make his 666th appearance for Liverpool Football Club. Assuming the defender plays in the Premier League clash against Fulham on Monday night he will move to second in the club's appearance list. He will move ahead of many legends from over the years but still a long way behind Ian Callaghan's record of 857 games for Liverpool. “It’s going to be a proud night for me but the most important thing is getting three points,” he said. Manager Kenny Dalglish still believes Carragher can continue at the top level, but also acknowledges Callaghan's amazing record. “It is a great accolade for him to be the second in the table for most appearances as a Liverpool player,” he added. “He has been here a while and hopefully he will be here for a lot longer. Cally is iconic here not just because of the number of games he played but for the service he gave to the club and the success he brought with him. “He was there at the start of the foundations for the club, he was in there with Shanks.
