Carra pleased with Gerrard decision
Jamie Carragher was delighted Steven Gerrard decided to stay with Liverpool. There were questions over the captain's future when he was linked with Real Madrid this Summer but Gerrard committed himself to the Reds which pleased his mate. "Well, he's our best player. For me he's probably the best player in the history of the club, alongside Kenny, so it's obviously going to give everyone a massive lift," said Carragher. "Hopefully Fernando will do the same and we can bring one or two more in so that we head into the season with a real feel good factor."
