Carra - Murphy must be stopped

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher hopes former team-mate Danny Murphy does not inflict severe damage to the Reds' Premier League title challenge.[LNB] Fulham captain Murphy left Anfield in 2004 and moved to Craven Cottage three years later after spells at Charlton and Tottenham.[LNB]The midfielder boosted Liverpool's hopes of league silverware when scoring from the penalty spot against Manchester United in a 2-0 home victory for Fulham at the end of March.[LNB]And Carragher is desperate not to be on the receiving end of similar treatment when Liverpool - who could overtake United in top spot with a draw - arrive at Craven Cottage on Saturday. [LNB]"Danny has probably been Fulham's best player this season along with Brede Hangeland at the back," the central defender told the Reds' official website. [LNB]Experience"I think with Danny being captain and playing more of a holding role now, he's organising the people around him. [LNB]"He's got great experience, so we know it will be difficult, but it's up to us to try and pin him down and stop him playing because I think he makes Fulham tick."[LNB]Having been held to a goalless stalemate on Merseyside last November, Carragher is also well aware of the threat posed by Fulham.[LNB]Earlier in the season Chelsea and Arsenal joined United in failing to record victories on the banks of the Thames, and Carragher believes that is a reason for concern.[LNB]"Chelsea only drew at Craven Cottage, they defeated Arsenal there earlier on in the season and we couldn't beat them at Anfield," he added.[LNB]"So we're talking about a very tough game for us, but we've got to make sure we're not another big team to drop points there."[LNB]
