Carra indifferent to pressure

Jamie Carragher isn't bothered about the pressure facing Liverpool. With the Reds second from bottom in the Premiership table it is an understandably stressful time at Anfield. However, Carra insists he can handle the pressure after 15 years at Liverpool. "It's the same as the last 15 years I've been here. It hasn't changed because it's always been the same. We're not getting the results we would like, but I've seen it plenty of times since I've been at the club. You are playing for a top club and with that comes pressure," said the vice-captain. "You have to accept that is the way it is. There has been a lot of trouble off the pitch. Time will tell but hopefully it will now be more settled and things will now improve on the pitch. Getting new owners will help settle things down and impact on the players. "Of course we don't like to be in that position, but it's very early days in the season and there is still a long way to go. I'm pretty sure we won't be in that position in the next few months, but that's for us to put right on the pitch. There is pressure, but that comes with playing for Liverpool. "As I've said many times, it hasn't always been rosy playing for Liverpool. Last season wasn't great and I remember going 12 games without a win under Gerard Houllier, so it hasn't always been plain sailing. "The atmosphere in the dressing room is fine, but you don't need to be a rocket scientist to realise when you win games it's better. That's obvious at every club."
