Boss glad to snap up Wilson

Roy Hodgson is happy to add Danny Wilson to his ranks. The Scottish PFA and Scottish Writers' Young Player of the Year signed for Liverpool yesterday and it's a transfer the boss welcomed. "In tandem with what we're doing with the first team, we've got to have our eyes and ears alert to any young talent that could be future stars," said Hodgson. "The earlier we get them into the club the better. Against Grasshoppers we saw young players like Eccleston and Amoo, young players who showed they've got exceptional talent - and we need more players of that type of quality. Danny Wilson is certainly one and I'm very pleased we've brought him into the club."
