Brendan Rodgers summer transfer plans have been dealt a blow with reports that Crystal Palace are set to offer Yannick Bolasie a new contract that will more than trump his current deal at the London club.

Bolasie has been linked with a move north to Liverpool after impressing for the Eagles throughout the season and is thought to be amongst names at the top of Rodgers summer transfer list.

Alan Pardew – who became Crystal Palace manager in January of this year – is hell bent on keeping Bolasie at the club and has gone as far as suggesting it would take a sum of over £40million to pry the midfielder away from Palace.

The 25-year-old's goal scoring exploits, including a hat-trick against Premier League struggler’s Sunderland at the beginning of this month, has led to speculation over the players future.

The DR Congo international signed a new three-year deal at Selhurst Park during the last summer transfer window, but the Daily Mail are reporting that Pardew and the Palace hierarchy are drawing up an even more enticing deal to keep Bolasie in London and away from Liverpool.
