Blackpool's Charlie Adam saying all the right things, despite Liverpool interest

ShareBlackpool midfielder Charlie Adam will return to training with the npower Championship club next week despite knowing long-time suitors Liverpool are still in the hunt for his signature. [LNB]The 26-year-old was the subject of two failed bids by the Reds back in January. [LNB] Seasiders chairman Karl Oyston dug his heels in over the fee as he hoped keeping hold of Adam would help secure the club's Barclays Premier League survival. [LNB] Maintaining poise: Charlie Adam (right) returning to training at Blackpool[LNB]Ultimately that was unsuccessful and although the club took up the option of another 12 months on the Scotland international's contract last month they have held talks with Liverpool about a proposed transfer.[LNB] With initial negotiations not providing a satisfactory outcome Adam is preparing to return to pre-season training next week. [LNB]'I go back to Blackpool on Monday and that's the way it is,' he told the Blackpool Gazette. [LNB]'Everybody knows the situation - the club have met with Liverpool but that's as far as it has gone. [LNB]'I had a conversation with the chairman but that will remain private. [LNB]'It's important that we keep everything in-house - whatever happens will happen.'
