In demand: Liverpool are among a number of clubs interested in Adam [LNB]Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston hopes Charlie Adam will stay at Bloomfield Road and help the club maintain their position in the Barclays Premier League. [LNB]Oyston accused Liverpool of 'playing a game and not particularly well' after Blackpool turned down the Reds' offer of £4million for the midfielder.   [LNB]He said: 'We'd like him to stay and give us a real good tilt at staying up. If he clears off now he really drops us in it because so much depends on us remaining in the Premier League.   [LNB]'It's just the way people go about these things that is upsetting. We try not to negotiate through the media or unsettle other clubs' players.  [LNB] 'The way you behave in these deals defines you as a club. They're trying to play a game and not particularly well. All they have done is get our backs up.   [LNB]'Charlie and his agent are desperate. Charlie may think the opportunity to join Liverpool might go away so there's always that hint of desperation.  [LNB] 'Birmingham and Aston Villa also made offers but thus far we've had nothing put to us that is remotely sensible. It remains to be seen what is an acceptable amount. We don't want to sell and more importantly we don't need to sell. They [Liverpool] must make an offer that is too big to ignore.'
