Benayoun not leaving Reds

Israel international Yossi Benayounhas no intention of leaving Liverpool, according to his agent.

The 29-year-old midfielder continues to be a peripheral figure at Anfield despite usually making an impact when coming off the bench.

Benayoun has scored three goals in just five Premier League starts this season and weekend reports suggested that Manchester City were monitoring his situation.

However, agent Ronen Katsav claims his client is happy with the Reds and has no interest in leaving Merseyside.

"Naturally a player playing well at Liverpool will always have other teams interested in him," said Katsav

"It is a great compliment that there is interest from high level teams across Europe, but Yossi is very happy at Liverpool and only in the summer agreed a new four-year contract."
