Barcelona's new coach Tito Vilanova wants a defender who can also step up and play in midfield when required to do so, and Agger fits the bill.
Barcelona have competition for the Dane's signature though as Real Madrid have also shown interest in the defender after he excelled in Euro 2012.
Agger himself isn't rushing to move though as he is still trying to get used to the new Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
