Atletico in Alonso link

Atletico Madrid are remaining coy on reports linking them with a January transfer window swoop for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso.
The 25-year-old is currently in his third season at Anfield following his transfer from Real Sociedad, but recent reports in Spain have linked him with a return to his homeland.
However, an Atletico spokesman said: "The club never respond to news that appears in the press."
Alonso added: "At this time a lot of rumours always appear in the papers, but I am only thinking about staying at Liverpool to help the team have a good season."
