Atletico Madrid president, Enrique Cerezo, says his club has not yet fielded any offers from Liverpool for star striker Fernando Torres.
Twenty-three-year-old Spain international frontman Torres has also been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal, but Cerezo has confirmed that no deal is in the offing at the present time.
He commented: "We have had no offer from Liverpool for Torres. He is on his holiday and resting.
"All the players have a buy-out clause in their contract and in that case we would not be able to do anything, but I repeat that there has been nothing about Torres from any team.
"We are now working to create a good team for the coming year."
Torres has been the leading scorer for Atletico in the last four seasons, as well as having netted 14 times in 42 appearances for his country.
Liverpool had been reported to be offering out-of-favour frontman Djibril Cisse as part of the deal to tempt Torres to move to Anfield this summer.
