Liverpool defender Alvaro Arbeloa is refusing to accept defeat to Manchester United in the race for the Premier League title.[LNB] If the Red Devils earn four points from matches against Wigan and Arsenal, they could equal Liverpool's record of 18 top-flight titles before their North-West rivals play their next game. [LNB]But Arbeloa insists Liverpool - who have done the domestic double over United and third-placed Chelsea this season - are not throwing in the towel ahead of Sunday's trip to West Brom.[LNB]The right-back told the Liverpool Echo: "We are happy to be up there fighting for the Premier League title.[LNB]"We know that in recent seasons we have been out of the title race at this stage so to be still involved in the fight is important for the team.[LNB]Important"When you are at a club like Liverpool the most important thing is to win titles and it is important for us to be in there.[LNB]"We have proven that we are a tough team. We've played really well this season and we have beaten both Manchester United and Chelsea twice in the league.[LNB]"It is going to be difficult but I still think it is possible for us to win the title.[LNB]"All of us know that it will be difficult but in football you never know what will happen."[LNB]Meanwhile, Liverpool have confirmed that current Academy director Piet Hamberg is to part company with the club.[LNB]
