Arbeloa - All or nothing

Alvaro Arbeloa feels Liverpool must beat Arsenal on Tuesday to stand any chance of taking the Premier League title. The Reds currently trail Manchester United by just one point heading in the final stages of a dramatic season, but the Red Devils do have a game more to play. Whatever happens, though, the battle for top-flight glory promises to go down to the wire, with two arch rivals determined to wrestle the crown away from the one another. With so much at stake, any slips at this stage of the campaign could be crucial. Arbeloa accepts as much and is determined to ensure that a season which has promised so much does not end in disappointment for Rafa Benitez's side. "This match against Arsenal is like a cup final for us," the Spain international told skysports.com. "Now that we are only left in one competition we need to make sure we do not make any mistakes. Winning the title will not be easy, but it is not impossible. "The confidence in our squad is high and we believe we can take advantage of any error from Manchester United. There is no room for failure, though, and every game is vital. "Our objective is clear - to win our last six matches and to better the results of United. That is still possible and the players believe it can happen." Xabi Alonso is also of the opinion that Liverpool must take maximum points from their remaining fixtures if they are to overhaul United at the summit. "We have six games to go and we cannot afford to drop any points if we want to give ourselves a chance because United have an advantage and we want to close the gap on them," he told the club's official website. "We know that it will not be easy to win the league but we will keep on trying and if we win all of our games then we will see what happens. "United are favourites because they are in the best position but it is up to us to keep on doing our job and hopefully we will keep on challenging right up until the end of the season."
