iverpool will have to wait to discover the full extent of striker Fernando Torres' knee injury after he was examined by a specialist.[LNB] The Spain international missed Sunday's goalless draw at home to Fulham - a result which caused a huge dent in Liverpool's top-four aspirations - to travel to Spain for an assessment.[LNB]He received some treatment on Monday but will be reassessed later in the week when the specialist will hopefully have a better idea of how the problem is likely to affect the rest of Torres' season.[LNB]"Fernando Torres was examined by a knee specialist this afternoon in Spain," a club statement read.[LNB]"He received treatment and will continue to do so over the next few days, with the injury being reassessed later this week."[LNB]Liverpool's next match is not until Monday, at home to West Ham, but probably of more significance now is the Europa League semi-final first leg at Atletico Madrid - Torres' former club - on April 22.
