Andy Carroll wants Liverpool goal with Luis Suarez

Andy Carroll is desperate to notch his first goal for Liverpool - and believes Luis Suarez is the man to supply it.[LNB]The former Newcastle striker is close to full fitness after suffering a thigh injury before his deadline day move in January.[LNB]And after scoring for England against Ghana last month, Carroll's next target is to open his account for his new club.[LNB] Double act: Carroll (right) and Suarez (left) have forged a promising partnership at Liverpool[LNB]'A goal for Liverpool is what I am waiting for,' he told Liverpoolfc.tv. 'It's going to begreat because the fans have given me a brilliant reception withoutscoring a goal, and now I can't wait to get a goal and make everyonehappy.'[LNB]'The reception I got before I eventouched the ball [on his debut] was great and when I got on, the reaction I got fromthe fans sounded like I'd already scored a goal.[LNB]'It's great to be here. The lads are fantastic, I get on well with all of them, and the fans are great as well.'[LNB]Carroll also believes his partnership with fellow new boy Luis Suarez will blossom in the coming weeks.[LNB]He added: 'In training we've been on the same team and working hard together. We've played a couple of games together now which has been promising, so I am looking forward to it.[LNB]'As you can see, Luis is fast, can get around people and has fast feet, and he has shown he can finish. As we continue to train together, he'll get to know my movements as much as I will know his. [LNB]'I'm positive we can score lots of goals for the club. I'm hoping it will be any time now that I will get a goal, and he will probably give me the assist.'[LNB]Having made his England debut against France in November last year, Carroll was delighted to find the net against Ghana at Wembley.[LNB] Bullet: Carroll scores his first England goal against Ghana at Wembley[LNB]'It was great to get out there and get my second cap, and it was topped off with a goal.[LNB]'It was just a great feeling to score a goal again after a long injury.[LNB]'I feel I am getting towards full fitness. I am working hard on it and I am inthe gym most days doing extra work. I am pushing towards it now andhopefully in the game I should be ready to go.'[LNB]Liverpool host Manchester City on Monday night and will be bidding to bounce back from their disappointing 2-1 defeat at West Brom[LNB]And Carroll is confident Kenny Dalglish's men can return to winning ways.[LNB]'Everyone has been lively in training. We're looking forward to the next game against City now and putting West Brom behind us,' he said.[LNB]'They've got great players all-round, and they've got some England boys in there that I was away with last week.[LNB]'But if we stick together like we can do, we can go out there and beat them.[LNB]'All of the lads are still confident we can get into fifth and get there (Europe).
