Alonso places future on hold

Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso has placed discussions over his future on hold until after Euro 2008.
The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to Italy with Juventus, with speculation suggesting his days at Anfield will be numbered following the arrival of Gareth Barry from Aston Villa.
Last week, the 26-year-old admitted a move to Juve would be an attractive proposition, but the former Real Sociedad star is keen to concentrate on Spain's European Championship challenge.
The midfielder has previously been linked with Real Madrid after losing his starting place at times during the last campaign.
Alonso joined the Reds in 2004 from Sociedad and has made over 110 appearances during his time on Merseyside.
"I know there is interest (from Juventus)," he said.
"But right now I not going to talk about that because there is enough to think about here with the national team."
