Agger questions Rafa snub

Daniel Agger believes he deserves to be playing on a more regular basis for Liverpool.[LNB] The Danish centre-half is currently embroiled in a long-running contract saga with the club, with no extension to his deal having been signed as yet.[LNB]The ongoing uncertainty surrounding his future had led to strong suggestions that he was on his way to Italian giants AC Milan during the January transfer window.[LNB]That move never came to fruition, but speculation continues to question whether he remain at Anfield beyond the summer.[LNB]Agger insists he has no desire to leave the Reds, but is concerned that his lack of first-team opportunities may force him to look elsewhere.[LNB]Irritated"I would like to be honest and confess that I am disappointed not to be playing regularly. It is difficult to accept and I can't go on like this," he told Sporten.dk.[LNB]"It's never nice for a footballer to not play regularly. That is something I will not hide.[LNB]"But my situation at the club is that he (Rafa Benitez) doesn't want to let me play.[LNB]"So far I have opted to stay and wait for my chance and to fight for my place.[LNB]"I feel I am good enough. Therefore, it irritates me when I don't play.[LNB]"I am waiting for the chance to play a number of matches and to show that I am good enough."[LNB]
