Agger praised

Roy Hodgson praised Daniel Agger after his comeback performance. Agger made his first appearance for the Reds since September in yesterday's 2-1 win over Bolton and instantly settled into the back four. His assured display earned him the praise of his manager. "He played well and I'm sure he's more than satisfied with his own performance. It was a good day all round for him," said Hodgson. "He hasn't been fit for the last couple of months but he's trained with the first team for 10 days and he's worked hard in those 10 days to get himself up to match fitness. "I was a bit concerned that 90 minutes would be too much for him after such a long lay-off and he actually did very well to last 85 minutes. "I wanted to rest Soto Kyrgiakos because he's played a lot of games and is tired." Agger was subsituted after 89 minutes because he was suffering with cramp.
