Agger in no rush to sign on

Daniel Agger continues to bide his time as speculation surrounding his future at Liverpool lingers on. The Danish defender has been in talks regarding a long-term extension to his Anfield contract for some time, but is yet to commit to the club. His refusal to put an end to the ongoing issue has served to fuel rumours that he is set for a summer switch to pastures new. Italian giants AC Milan are known to be admirers of the centre-half, while there would be no shortage of takers should he become available. Agger insists he wants to remain with Liverpool and is merely holding out for the right moment to sign, but, with over a year still to run on his current deal, he admits he is in no rush to reach an agreement. "I have never tried to hide the fact that I'd like to be at the club and I feel good enough to play for the team," he said. "I have plenty of time because my contract won't expire until next summer and it would be stupid to rush anything."
