Yossi Benayoun's agent has denied being contacted by Italian giants Roma and expects the Liverpool midfielder to stay at Anfield.[LNB] The Israel international recently fuelled speculation about his future by admitting that he did not know whether he would still be at Anfield next season.[LNB]Roma are understood to be keeping tabs on Benayoun and his representative Ronen Katzav admits the interest is flattering.[LNB]Katzav accepts that Benayoun would remain open-minded if his situation at Liverpool changed, but the agent does not foresee that happening.[LNB]Benayoun is under contract with the Reds and has not been told that he is surplus to requirements so Katzav is reluctant to dwell on the transfer talk.[LNB]"We weren't contacted by Roma," Katzav told forzaroma.info. "We know of an interest from Roma, but there was no contact.[LNB]"Would Roma be a welcome destination? Yes, it couldn't be otherwise.[LNB]"But to speak is useless because my client has a contract with Liverpool and he's good in England. [LNB]"Nobody from the Reds has told me that Yossi is on the market, so I couldn't say how much his value is. [LNB]"For now, the future of Benayoun is at Liverpool. If new scenarios open, we'll see in the summer."
