Javier Mascherano's agent claims the midfielder would like to leave Liverpool for Barcelona. Barca president Joan Laporta revealed on Sunday that the Catalan giants plan to add "three or four" new faces to their treble-winning squad. And Argentina captain Mascherano would love to be one of them, according to his representative Walter Tamer. "It would make Javier very proud that a club like Barcelona pay him attention after such an incredible year. I believe a transfer would be feasible," he told the 'Tu diras' programme on RAC1. "If a club like Barcelona wants to strengthen its squad after having won everything and having completed a brilliant season, obviously the player is going to say yes, we want to play there. "I've spoken to (Barca sporting director) Txiki Begiristain, but we have not been in touch for some time." Tamer believes his client, who turned 25 on Monday, would have a straightforward role to play at the Nou Camp behind the star-studded Barca frontline. "In Barcelona he would have a very easy job," he added. "Sometimes we talk and joke that the only thing he has to do is run, steal the ball and give it to all the stars in front of him." Liverpool insist Mascherano is not for sale.
