The 21-year-old Villarreal striker has become hot property after scoring 16 times for the La Liga side in all competitions this term. The young Argentine footballer has become one of Europe’s most exciting prospects, drawing interest from several big clubs including Liverpool confirms his agent. Speaking to the Spanish newspaper AS his agent Jorge Cysterpillar said:
"We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto,"
"There is a lot of competition for him.
"He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs.
"I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer."
The report suggests a fee as low as £12million would be enough to lure Villarreal into selling which sounds like the sale of the century given his development and eye for goal.
Liverpool have been keeping tabs on the players development with regular scouting missions with the player himself admitting to AS that he would be interested in examining offers for his services:
‘If these great teams come forward and make an offer we'll see,’ he told AS about Liverpool’s interest
‘The offer would first have to be very good, but it would be very good for me and good for Villarreal.’
