Afellay being watched by Liverpool and Spurs

Ibrahim Afellay is set to hold talks with Barcelona over his future with Tottenham and Liverpool watching eagerly.

New Barca coach Tito Vilanova will speak to the Dutchmen to discuss his plans for him next season. After his shock move from PSV Eindhoven last year, the midfielder has failed to shine at the Camp Nou.

Injuries have halted Afellay who has only managed 20 La Liga matches since making the move and Afellay is keen to become more involved. The 26-year-old is currently on a break following Holland's exit from Euro 2012 and is set for talks when he returns to Barcelona.

Liverpool and Spurs are currently locking horns over the signing of Gylfi Sigurdsson and are both long-term admirers of the Dutchmen. He is also linked with Lille who see Afellay as a replacement for Joe Cole.
