Adam grateful for reds chance
Adam admitted it was a "tough" period for him during the winter transfer window when the Seasiders decided to resist Liverpool's approach but following their relegation to the Coca-Cola Championship a deal was finally completed last week.
The 25-year-old, who is part of Liverpool's squad for the two-match tour of the Far East, said: "I'm delighted to eventually be here. Obviously it was tough in January with the decisions that were made and I respected Blackpool in that and I have now been able to come here and join a wonderful club, a massive club that is well known all over the world."
He added: "Obviously I'd like to thank the manager for bringing me here and it is a step in my career I'm looking forward to.
"I want to learn and there are some of the best players in the world at this club so if I can learn from them I am going to improve as a player. That is my aim."
The Scotland international joined Dalglish at a press conference in China and the Liverpool boss again refused to be drawn on any potential transfer activity in the coming days.
"We don't talk about other people's players and we certainly don't talk about our own players; where they are going or if they are staying or whatever," he said.
"If you trust the profession that you work for then you can get your information from the newspapers if you want to get it, but for us I don't think it is the proper way to be respectful to anybody else to talk about players other clubs have that we don't," he said.
