Charlie Adam has thanked Kenny Dalglish for showing faith in him after Blackpool rejected Liverpool's initial advances for him in January.[LNB] Adam admitted it was a "tough" period for him during the winter transfer window when the Seasiders decided to resist Liverpool's approach and hold onto a player they saw as vital to their hopes of staying in the Premier League.[LNB]Blackpool were ultimately relegated on the final day of last season, and after Liverpool renewed their interest in the former Rangers man, a deal was finally completed last week. Adam is now looking forward to his opportunity at Anfield.[LNB]The 25-year-old, who is part of Liverpool's squad for the two-match tour of the Far East, said: "I'm delighted to eventually be here. Obviously it was tough in January with the decisions that were made and I respected Blackpool in that and I have now been able to come here and join a wonderful club, a massive club that is well known all over the world.[LNB]"Obviously I'd like to thank the manager for bringing me here and it is a step in my career I'm looking forward to.[LNB]"I want to learn and there are some of the best players in the world at this club so if I can learn from them I am going to improve as a player. That is my aim."[LNB]The Scotland international joined Dalglish at a press conference in China and the Liverpool boss again refused to be drawn on any potential transfer activity in the coming days.[LNB]"We don't talk about other people's players and we certainly don't talk about our own players; where they are going or if they are staying or whatever," he said.[LNB]"If you trust the profession that you work for then you can get your information from the newspapers if you want to get it, but for us I don't think it is the proper way to be respectful to anybody else to talk about players other clubs have that we don't," he said.
