Midfielder Charlie Adam has denied he dived in the build-up to Liverpool's goal against Manchester United on Saturday.[LNB] Steven Gerrard put the Reds in front at Anfield after converting a free-kick, which Adam had won after taking a tumble in a challenge with United defender Rio Ferdinand on the edge of the box.[LNB]The Scotland international has been accused of play-acting after the slightest of touches from Ferdinand, which halted what had been a dangerous run.[LNB]But Adam is adamant he did not make the most of the incident and claims he would not have passed up what could have been a goalscoring opportunity.[LNB]"I felt a touch and if I hadn't gone down I would have been clear through on goal so there must have been contact," he said.[LNB]"That's the way I look at it. I felt contact when I went past Rio and that's the way it goes.[LNB]"I'm not just going to go down easily. I'm not that type of player. It was a foul and that is why the referee gave it."
