A DECISION on the future of Liverpool FC will be made tomorrow.[LNB]Judge Mr Justice Floyd listened to detailed and lengthy submissions from five barristers today at the High Court in London as the battle to take control at Anfield moved towards a tense conclusion.[LNB] After almost six hours of complex argument, it was ruled that a decision on the Reds' potential £300m sale to New England Sports Ventures, its almost-expired debt to two banks, the fate of Tom Hicks and George Gillett, and ultimately the club's overall existence, would be revealed from 10.30am tomorrow.[LNB]Apart from the legal team representing Tom Hicks and George Gillett, all parties insist the Americans acted illegally when they sought to reconfigure the make-up of the Anfield board last Tuesday when the £300m sale to NESV was agreed.[LNB] Show Caption But in a counter thrust, Paul Girolami, QC for Hicks and Gillett, called for an injunction for his clients against their opponents in this case - main creditors RBS, Kop Football and Kop Holdings Ltd, the three English directors of the Anfield board - chairman Martin Broughton, Christian Purslow and Ian Ayre - and prospective club buyers NESV.[LNB]Lord Grabiner QC, effectively representing Martin Broughton and his two colleagues, said his clients supported the argument put forward by RBS that owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett had paid scant regard to the governance agreements put in place by Broughton, the bank and the Americans in April, when the debt was last refinanced.[LNB]He said: "Our submission is this was the clearest of beaches to which there is no defence. Hicks acknowledges what was done was contrary to the governance agreements.[LNB]"They are trying to produce a result flatly contrary to the deal they entered into."
