Schofield backs N'Guessan
20 Jul 2007 - 10:22:19
Lincoln City head coach John Schofield is impressed by the early-season form of Dany N'Guessan and is hoping the forward can continue to improve.
The 19-year-old joined the Imps from neighbours Boston United in the January transfer window, but struggled to make his mark in his first few months with City.
However, Schofield remains confident that the French youngster will prove to be a good signing.
He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "Dany's position is right wing. He came in last year, played up front a couple of times and did okay.
"But now he's been with us eight or nine months, he's starting to realise what we want from him. The ability is there.
"We wanted him to come back to us fitter and he is well on the way to doing that.
"But let's remember he's only 19. He'll become better when he develops more consistency, like every player.
"When we signed him in the January transfer window, we saw him becoming a regular within 12 to 18 months."
