Lincoln City boss Peter Jackson has confirmed that Lee Frecklington is on the verge of joining Peterborough United.

The 23-year-old looks set to move to London Road on loan until the end of the season, with a view to making the transfer permanent.

Jackson told the Red Imps' official website: "Peterborough came in for him last season, but as they were in the same division as us he felt it would be a sideways move.

"But following their promotion last year and excellent start to this season, things have changed which makes this a great chance for him to further his career.

"Should the move go through, and I fully expect it to, then we'll be getting some money in which will enable me to strengthen my squad for the remainder of this season and next."
