No transfer rush for Jackson
17 Feb 2009 - 12:14:46
Lincoln City manager Peter Jackson has insisted that there is no rush to find new blood despite falling behind in the chase for the League One play-off places.
The Red Imps have drawn five of their last six games, falling 11 points behind Shrewsbury in seventh place, and are rumoured to be interested in bringing Tom Newey to Sincil Bank on loan.
"Things are still ongoing, but I doubt anything will happen before the weekend," Jackson told the Lincolnshire Echo.
"I'm not going to rush into anything. We've got a couple players coming back (from injury). We'll see how they do.
"But we've got a small squad and injuries and suspensions could happen, so it's likely we'll add to the squad at some point."
