Morgan targets top three
27 Feb 2007 - 09:52:26
Lincoln City captain Paul Morgan has warned his team-mates to press on for automatic promotion and avoid a fifth consecutive play-off campaign.
The Red Imps have failed to exit League Two in the last four seasons and could face more heartache as they are currently fourth in the table.
Morgan told the Lincolnshire Echo: "We need to finish in the top three, because another go at the play-offs for the fifth successive season would be devastating.
"We want to go up automatically and the fans need to get behind us for the last 11 games of the campaign.
"If they can create a big atmosphere, especially at home, and we can go on to win those games and pick up points away from home - then we have got a great chance.
"There is no reason why we can't all push on together and clinch a top-three finish."
