    Morgan's goals target

    15 Aug 2006 - 12:14:27

Lincoln City skipper Paul Morgan is targeting more goals this season after scoring his first in four years in Saturday's 2-1 win at Torquay United.

The goal came in a manic final few moments at Plainmoor in which the Imps recovered from going a goal behind to Darren Garner's 51st-minute strike and Paul Mayo's missed penalty to win the match with two goals in injury-time.

Morgan headed home in the 92nd minute and Martin Gritton scored a tap-in against his former club a minute later to ensure the Imps secured a first win at Torquay in ten years.

Following the game, 27-year-old Morgan, who last scored in the 1-0 win against Darlington in 2002, told the Lincolnshire Echo: "It has been a long time coming. To be honest, I had almost forgotten what it was like to score.

"It may not have been a 45-yard screamer, but they all count - even if it was a tap-in.

"It's only my second goal for Lincoln and it means just as much as the first.

"It helped us to win the game and that makes it all the more special.

"Hopefully, I can add a few more now this season."
