Lincoln City goalkeeper Alan Marriott thinks a successful new era is about to start at Sincil Bank after signing a three-year deal with the Red Imps.
Manager Keith Alexander has seen several key members of his squad leave the club in the last month following the League Two side's third successive play-off exit.
But Marriott still believes Alexander is capable of building a new squad and leading the club to League One.
"It's disappointing that a couple of the lads have left but the players who are coming in can take the club forward," he told the club's official website.
"I've enjoyed my time here, especially working with the gaffer, and the last three seasons have been a great achievement, although losing twice at the Millennium Stadium was disappointing.
"When I first came here the club was struggling having just come down from Division Two with a big wage bill. They were getting gates of 2,000 and now season ticket sales are coming up to the 2,000 mark. That shows how far the club have come and I'm proud to be part of that success.
"The signs are looking good on and off the pitch and I'm pleased that I'm a part of it."
The 26-year-old has made 228 League appearances for City since arriving at the club from Tottenham six years ago.
