Marriott extends deal

Lincoln City goalkeeper Alan Marriott has agreed terms for a new three-year contract at Sincil Bank.

The 26-year-old's current deal was due to expire at the end of the month, but he has verbally accepted the new terms on offer to extend his six-year spell with the Red Imps.

Marriott is the second, after Peter Folkes, of the ten players offered new deals by boss Keith Alexander to commit to City.

Alexander is still waiting for final decisions from Matthew Bloomer, Peter Gain, Paul Morgan, Kevin Sandwith and Simon Rayner, but Richard Butcher, Simon Yeo and Ben Futcher have already signed for other clubs.
