Kovacs completes Imps move

Lincoln City have completed the signing of central defender Janos Kovacs on a two-year contract from League Two rivals Chesterfield.

The 22-year-old Hungarian had been with the Spireites for three years, but opted against extending his stay at Saltergate to join the Red Imps.

City boss Peter Jackson told the club's official website: "He's a massive lad and I'm really looking forward to working with him.

"I was frightened that other people would come in and pinch him from me, so I'm delighted he's signed.

"We've a really good commanding centre-back at the club now. You couldn't wish to meet a nicer kid, but hopefully he's not that nice on the pitch."
