Lincoln City club captain Scott Kerr is battling to get back in the Red Imps starting eleven, having been dropped by manager John Schofield.
The 25-year-old schemer was relegated to the subs bench after the 4-1 Carling Cup drubbing at Doncaster Rovers, but Kerr is hoping to get back in the picture as soon as possible.
He told the Lincolnshire Echo: "I'm still club skipper. If I'm not in the team, I'm not in the team.
"We've got a good team spirit in the dressing room and everyone needs to stick together in these times.
"I'm skipper and I'm behind the lads 100 per cent. I try to motivate them and keep the lads going.
"It was good to get on at Darlington on Saturday with half an hour to go and I thought I did alright."
