Skipper Scott Kerr will remain with Lincoln City after agreeing a new two-year contract at Sincil Bank.
The 26-year-old midfielder has made over 130 appearances during three seasons with the Red Imps and cited the ambition shown by the club in the summer transfer market as the reason for his decision to remain.
"I've had three good seasons at Sincil Bank, although last year was hugely disappointing, and I am fully focused on leading the club to a top three finish," he told City's official website.
"The gaffer has won promotion before and knows what it's all about and he certainly means business this time around, especially.
"Having been suspended towards the end of last season, the break has been even longer for me so I can't wait for the new season to kick off.
"I'm sure all the lads will be raring to go."
