Peter Jackson has been appointed as the new manager of League Two strugglers Lincoln City.
Former Huddersfield Town boss Jackson has signed a contract running until the summer of 2009 at Sincil Bank, as he succeeds John Schofield in charge of the Red Imps.
Chairman Steff Wright told the club's official website: "The board feel very positive about this appointment.
"A lot of the key building blocks are in place at the club and we're confident that the appointment of Peter Jackson as manager will help drive the club forward to the success we all desire."
Jackson himself added: "The board have backed me and now it's up to the fans to back myself and the team.
"It's important that everyone connected with Lincoln City unites as we aim to climb the table. I'm really looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead."
Jackson had two spells in charge of the Terriers, with the most recent ending in March.
