Imps wrap up Torpey deal

Lincoln City have completed the signing of veteran striker Steve Torpey on a one-year contract.

The 36-year-old hitman was out of contract at Scunthorpe United next month and jumped at the chance to prolong his career with the Imps.

Torpey has made more than 500 league appearances for six different clubs during an 18-year professional career.

"I'm looking forward to seeing him get games under his belt and for him to work with the young strikers," admitted Lincoln's director of football John Deehan.
