Imps to sign loan keeper

Lincoln City have agreed to sign Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Ben Smith on a month's loan.

The 21-year-old keeper will join the Imps on an emergency loan basis subject to confirmation from the Football League.

Smith has made just two appearances for the League One club this season in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy following the summer arrival of veteran keeper Neil Sullivan.

He joined the South Yorkshire side from Stockport County 18 months ago and made 23 appearances during his debut season at the Keepmoat Stadium.

"The goalkeeper will go straight into the squad for Saturday's game against Wycombe Wanderers," confirmed a club statement.
