Imps reward for Schofield

Lincoln City manager John Schofield has been handed a new three-year contract by the League Two club.
Schofield took the Red Imps to a fifth-placed finish in his first season in charge, before they lost in the play-off semi-finals to Bristol Rovers.
However, Schofield has clearly impressed the Sincil Bank hierarchy and has been given an extended deal running until the summer of 2010.
Chairman Steff Wright told the club's official website: "The contract extension given to John Schofield comes after a very encouraging season as head coach which saw the team play some very attractive football in securing a fifth-placed finish.
"In addition, there have been a lot of other developments behind the scenes that shows that John is totally committed to Lincoln City Football Club.
"We were only too happy to show our commitment to him by rewarding him with this new deal."
