Imps retain loan defender

Lincoln City have extended Hamza Bencherif's loan stay from Nottingham Forest to a second month.

The 19-year-old defender has made four appearances for the Imps since joining last month.

However, the Algeria Under-20 international will play no part in the FA Cup first round tie between the clubs on November 11.

Meanwhile, newly-installed boss Peter Jackson has urged everybody concerned with the club to pull in the same direction in a bid to improve their fortunes.

"Everyone has to work together and that includes the players, the staff behind the scenes and the fans," he told the club's official website.

"We'll only get out of the situation we're in at the moment by working as a group and everybody needs to stick together, whether that be through the good times or the bad times."
