Lincoln City hope to appoint a new manager within a fortnight following the sacking of John Schofield.
Schofield and director of football John Deehan left Sincil Bank after Sunday's 4-0 thrashing by MK Dons extended the Red Imps' winless run to nine games.
Chairman Steff Wright handed Grant Brown the job on an interim basis but is keen to appoint a new permanent manager before the end of the month.
"We've told Grant Brown that he'll take temporary charge against Peterborough on Saturday," Wright told the Lincolnshire Echo.
"But behind the scenes the process of finding a new manager will continue. It's my hope to have the position filled within a fortnight."
