Lincoln City have cancelled the contract of defender Phil Watt by mutual consent.
The 20-year-old product of the club's youth scheme was handed a one-year deal last summer, but has now been told he is free to leave by newly-installed manager Peter Jackson.
Watt failed to start a league game since the opening day of the season.
Meanwhile, the Imps will be without Mark Stallard for three games following his dismissal at Rotherham United on Saturday.
The veteran striker will now miss the home game against Wycombe Wanderers and the away trips to Chesterfield and Notts County.
