Imps boss hails on-loan strikers

Published: 13 Mar 2010 - 14:27:44

Davide Somma and Drewe Broughton caused problems for the Bulls throughout, with the former scoring a cracking opener after 11 minutes. Matthew Saunders then grabbed a brace either side of a goal from Hereford's Marc Pugh as the Imps secured all three points at Sincil Bank. Sutton said: "Davide and Drewe have made a massive difference to us. We are now posing much more of a threat in attack. It was not about the performance but it was the result that was important. "We have to go with what we've got and it's all about results at the moment. We can do better and we want to do better. But I feel in forward areas we are now far more of a threat." The crowd observed a minute's silence beforehand in memory of former manager Keith Alexander, and Sutton said: "It was an emotional night. The supporters turned out in their numbers and it was a resolute performance."
