Lincoln City have handed a first professional contract to teenage defender Daniel Hone.
The 18-year-old has made six first-team appearances for the Imps this season and is highly rated by new manager Peter Jackson.
Hone has put pen to paper on a deal that ties him to the League Two club until 2010.
"I've been very pleased with what I've seen of Danny and he's fully deserving of a professional contract," Jackson told the club's official website.
"He was thrown in at the deep end due to injuries, but since then he's kept his place in the side purely on merit.
"His attitude and approach to the game have been first-class and he's quickly become an important part of my squad."
