Green completes City switch

Francis Green has completed his £75,000 move from Peterborough United to Lincoln City, but his new manager Keith Alexander is still on the look out for another forward.

Green joined the Red Imps on a day's loan on Tuesday in order to enable him to play against Southend United, and Alexander is delighted that he has now agreed to make the move permanent.

"Francis is a player we've been following for some time and I'm delighted to have him here. He'll give us extra pace, strength and hopefully a few goals," said the Red Imps boss.

However with just six goals in eight league games this season Alexander is still keen to bring another striker in on loan before Saturday's clash with Kidderminster Harriers.

"I'm certainly hopeful I can get someone else in before Saturday," he told the Lincolnshire Echo.

"I'm away most days looking at people and certainly I'm doing all I can to get another striker in on loan.

"I signed Franny Green on Tuesday but he's going to take time to settle. The likes of Rory May and Ellis Remy are youngsters who I think can do us a job once they've been here for a while and have learned the job.

"So at the moment I'm looking for someone who can come straight in and do a job for us alongside Gary Fletcher. Fletch has done well for us since he arrived from Orient and I'm sure he'll get better and better the more games he gets under his belt.

"I know where the problem is, and that's not scoring enough goals. If it means bringing someone else in then that's what I will do."
